Recently announced Crows captain Rory Sloane has had the title spectacularly stripped just minutes after revealing that he refers to a Chicken Parmigiana as a ‘parma.’

The Victorian-born Sloane revealed via Instagram that he had been advocating for the inferior name since he moved to Adelaide ten years ago. He was supported by other Victorian AFL players, including young Crow Myles Poholke.

It is understood Poholke is no longer on the Crows list.

Adelaide Chairman Rob Chapman weighed in.

“Rory is a great man. A great man. With one fatal flaw. And unfortunately, calling a Parmi a Parma is a sackable offence.”

“We are the team for all South Australian’s after all.”

The Journal made contact with the Crows nutrionist, 83 year old Nonna Gallucci, who confirmed that Parmi was also the term most commonly used in Italian circles.
